The pressure sensor used in air compressor is usually piezoresistive pressure sensor, and the key component is the resistance strain gauge glued on the sensor rod.The resistance strain gauge is a kind of sensitive device which transforms the strain change on the tested part into an electrical signal.It is one of the main components of piezoresistive strain sensor.Usually, the strain gauge is tightly bound to the mechanical strain matrix by special adhesive. When the stress of the matrix changes, the resistance strain gauge also deforms, so that the resistance value of the strain gauge changes and the voltage applied on the resistance changes.The strain gauge usually has a small change in resistance when under force.
