The minimum pressure valve of screw air compressor has the following five functions:

  • Ensure that the injection screw air compressor has a minimum exhaust pressure.
  • In the case of no additional oil pump in the oil system, ensure that there is a certain system pressure in the air compressor system in operation, which is used to meet the oil circulation needs of the oil injection screw air compressor.
  • Reduce the airflow speed, which is conducive to improving the separation effect of oil and gas, and prevent the coolant gas from being discharged from the air compressor together with the compressed gas when the air compressor is started, resulting in the reduction of coolant.
  • Anti-reverse effect, the minimum pressure valve is also a one-way valve has two functions: first, the high pressure system in the exhaust pipe is separated from the low pressure of the barrel body, and secondly, the compressed air in the gas storage tank is prevented from flowing back to the air compressor during the unloading operation of the unit.
  • Protective effect. When the main engine of screw air compressor is started, the high-speed oil and gas mixture will be generated instantly and enter the oil and gas barrel.
