How to maintain the mixer?

Are you wondering how to maintain a concrete mixer? Keeping your machines in good working order is important as it affects their performance. Besides ensuring maximum efficiency during your project, you’ll also benefit from improved safety.

1. Rinse your concrete mixer

When you switch your machine off after a hard day’s work, your responsibilities don’t stop there. You’ll need to rinse down the drum to wash away concrete before it starts to build up. Keeping your drum in good shape is relatively easy. Turn the mixer on and spray some water inside. After it’s turned a few times, take a bucket and scoop out the dirty water.

Tip: Struggling with bits of concrete that are hard to get rid of? Use a pressure hose to make light work of removing the concrete from the inside of the drum.

2. Implement daily checks

Giving your concrete mixer the once-over is a good habit to pick up. Make sure that all the nuts and bolts are in place before you switch it on. Besides preventing damage to your machine, this precaution will also help to ensure your safety. If you discover any components that need to be repaired, fix them right away.

3. Removing hard concrete
