PioneerTex hybrid geo-synthetic paving mat is made of hybrid of polyester and glass short fiber, manufactured by a wet-formed nonwoven process. During the production, the polyester and glass fiber were randomly dispersed, and the mat could give the pavement multi-directional tensile reinforcement.
What's the function of hybrid waterproofing paving mat?
Paving mat has been specifically designed to provide high modulus tensile strength while creating a moisture barrier to retard the affect of reflective cracking. When the paving mat was impregnated in asphalt, it will form a water barrier to limit water intrusion in the pavement. By adding paving mat in the pavement interlay, the forces that cause cracking would be decreased.
