57-4 Ceramic Bus Post Insulator High Voltage Post Insulators

Power lines and other electrified wiring transmission of high-voltage electrical energy along suspended cables. While the wires themselves generally do not contain insulation, certain points along the electrified wiring require insulation. For example, insulators are required where live electrical cables meet the poles supporting them and when placed in buildings. Since insulators do not respond to electrical fields, they can go a long way in preventing fires and electrical failures.
