The airflow pattern created by a cross-flow fan is unique in that it moves air in a uniform and laminar flow across a wide area. This makes it effective for applications where consistent and even air distribution is important. The design of the fan also allows for a relatively high static pressure, which can be useful in applications where the fan needs to push air through ducts or other obstacles.

The cross-flow fan is mainly composed of impeller, duct and motor.
