Description

Working principle

A. After the light from the built-in light source is reflected by the half mirror, it irradiates vertically downwards on the smooth surface of the object along the optical axis of the camera lens.

B. The background reflects the incident light vertically upwards, then all the reflected light is in the direction of directional reflection (vertically upward), so is all the energy.

C. The fingerprint diffusely reflects the incident light, so the reflected light is in all directions, so is the energy.

D. When viewed in the vertical direction, all the light reflected by the background enters the lens, and only a small part of fingerprint-reflected light enters the lens. The result seen through the lens is the dark fingerprint in a bright background.

E. Choose barrier filter whose color is similar to the background color of the fingerprint, install such barrier filter at the bottom of the coaxial light imager, then only color of the barrier filter can enter the lens. Compared to fingerprint lines, the background has a higher reflectivity for such color, thus improving the contrast between the background and the fingerprint.

F. The lens hood prevents stray light interference from the environment.

A. Mount the camera and the macro lens on the coaxial light imager (connect lenses of various calibers with conversion adapter).

B. Place the fingerprint under the coaxial light imager, determine the number of threaded lens hoods according to the photography distance, shelter the fingerprint with the threaded lens hood to block stray light interference.

C. Turn on the built-in light source. The emitted light, after reflected by the half mirror vertically downwards, irradiates the fingerprint. Then, the light reflected by the background vertically upwards enters the lens through the half mirror.

D. Adjust the height of the camera and the focal length of the lens until the dark fingerprint on the bright background can be seen clearly in the lens, then photograph the fingerprint.

A. Mount the camera and the macro lens at the top of the coaxial light imager (connect lenses of various calibers with conversion adapter).

B. Determine the number of threaded lens hoods according to the photography distance, then install the lens hood at the bottom of the coaxial light imager.

C. Hold the coaxial light imager and the lens hood with hand so that the lens hood shelters the fingerprints on the vertical surface and blocks stray light interference.

D. Turn on the built-in light source. The emitted light, after reflected by the half mirror vertically downwards, irradiates the fingerprint. Then, the light reflected by the background vertically upwards enters the lens through the half mirror.

E. Adjust the focal length of the lens until the dark fingerprint on the bright background can be seen clearly in the lens, then photograph the fingerprint.
