Gunshot residue collection vial

Purpose

Lift the gunshot residue on the suspect's hand and clothing with the adhesive tab in the sampling vial, then put the adhesive tab under the electron microscope to observe the microscopic shape of the gunshot residue. It can also be used to lift other trace evidence.

Composition

The gunshot residue sampling vial is composed of a base, a sample support, an adhesive tab and a plastic shell. The aluminum sample support is inserted on the base, the circular conductive adhesive tab is pasted on the sample support, and the transparent plastic shell is fastened on the base to protect the adhesive tab and the sample support from contamination.

Method of use

Take off the plastic shell from the base, use a tweezer to peel off the protective film of the adhesive tab, hold the base, lift the gunshot residue with the adhesive tab, then screw the plastic shell to the base to protect the evidence from contamination.

Bring the sampling vial back to the laboratory, take off the plastic shell, place the base under the electron microscope to observe the evidence on the adhesive tab.
