BTWX-I Trace evidence collection vaccum sweeper

Purpose

Collect a wild range of trace evidence at the scene, such as pollen, metal chips, wood chips, paint fragments, scattered explosives, chemicals, fiber debris and human tissue fragments.

Composition

There is a transparent evidence chamber on the vacuum. The front air inlet of the evidence chamber connects to the adapter of the vacuum, and the rear air outlet connects to the vacuum sweeper. The evidence chamber contains an aluminum filter support screen and a piece of filter paper in front of the aluminum filter support screen. After turning on the vacuum, the trace evidence is sucked into the evidence chamber. The air penetrates the filter paper, and the trace evidence remains on the white filter paper.

Method of use

A. Unscrew to take off the cap of the evidence chamber, place a filter paper on the aluminum filter support screen, and put the cap back on the evidence chamber.

B. Connect the vacuum sweeper and the evidence collection chamber with a hose.

C. Turn on the vacuum, and point the vacuum adapter in front of the evidence chamber to the place where the trace evidence is left. The filter paper will capture the trace evidence sucked into the evidence chamber. The trace evidence left on white filter paper can be observed through the transparent evidence chamber.

D. Take off the evidence chamber, place it on the desk, open the cap of the evidence chamber, use a tweezer to transfer the trace evidence in the chamber to the evidence container, and put the filter paper in the evidence bag.

E. Replace the filter paper for collection of new trace evidence.
