A proprietary chemistry and heat treatment optimize material properties in BOGVIK differentially heat treated (DHT) hammers. The working end approaches 600 BHN for excellent abrasion resistance while the softer pin-eye area lowers pin wear and increases reliability. BOGVIK DHT hammers are an ideal option for applications where manganese hammers don’t adequately work harden.
