For your safety and protection, the following precautions must be taken before operating the valve.
The primary responsibility of the end user is to determine the appropriate compatible material of construction and product grade for the intended service.
The user should ensure that the valve pressure and temperature limits (as indicated on the nameplate) are not exceeded.
Valves should be used in well-designed, well-supported piping systems so that they are not subjected to undue force or hydraulic shock during use.
Due to operating conditions, valve surface temperatures may become extremely low; prevent direct contact with the valve to avoid injury.
Valves are not designed for operation during or after earthquakes or fatigue conditions. It is the owner's responsibility to determine if a fatigue condition exists.
Isolate any valve showing any signs of leakage and do not attempt to operate, repair or replace it.
Read through the entire IOM to make sure everything is clear, and if in doubt, ask the Microfinish engineering team.
