The protective effect of Dacro film on steel matrix can be summarized as follows:
1. Barrier effect: Due to the lamellar overlap of flake zinc and aluminum, it blocks the process of water, oxygen and other corrosive media reaching the matrix, which can act as a kind of isolation and shielding.
2. Passivation: In the process of dacro treatment, chromic acid reacts with zinc, aluminum powder and matrix metal to form a dense passivation film, which has good corrosion resistance.
3. Cathodic protection: the main protective effect of zn-Al-Cr coating is the same as that of galvanized layer, which is cathodic protection for the matrix.
