The Nihon Kohden NKB-302 battery pack is a rechargeable battery for OPV-1500 X064 OPV-1500K electrocardiographs.

Note

• Test the battery pack monthly.

• When starting to use a new battery pack, write the date of first use on the label.

• Replace the battery pack once a year.

• If defibrillation is required during a battery test, run the defibrillator on AC power or use a different defibrillator. Do not use battery power as this may damage or discharge the battery pack.

Do not perform the following operations on the battery pack. Failure to do so may result in leakage, overheating, explosion, or fire.

• Do not short-circuit the + and - terminals of the battery pack.

• Do not throw the battery pack into fire or heat it.

• Do not install the battery pack with the wrong polarity.

• Do not immerse or wet the battery pack in water or seawater.

• Do not disassemble or modify the battery pack.

• Do not subject the battery pack to strong impacts or deform it.

• Do not use the battery pack with any equipment other than the specified one.

• Do not charge the battery pack with any equipment other than the specified one.

Actual battery life may vary due to the following reasons

• Ambient temperature

• Load changes

The optimal service life of the battery pack can only be achieved if it is completely discharged from time to time. The built-in maintenance mode is used for this battery maintenance. This function should be activated once a month. In addition:

• If a battery that is not completely discharged is charged several times, its capacity may decrease.

• Under normal temperature conditions, the battery can be charged and discharged for about 2 hours. After 500 times, its life will be shortened.

A fully charged battery can be used continuously at room temperature.
