Features
Ultra Clear Low Iron Float Glass has a low iron oxide content, giving higher transparency and natural colour. The use of new types of materials in its manufacture increases its light transmission capacity and reduces the greenish tone typical of conventional glass, which is most noticeable from the edge and is more obvious in thicker glass.
1. High safety: low spontaneous breakages
2. High transmittance: visible light transmittance near 92%, 6% higher than clear float glass.
3. High aesthetics: More beautiful than clear float glass, with a jewel-like blue edge.
4. Friendly environment: Has obtained certificates of CE, SGS
Specification:
Thickness: 3-12mm
Maximum Size: 2400 x 3660mm
Minimum Size: 300 x 300mm
Ultra clear float glass product with 75% less iron content than standard float glass.
Standard clear float glass has an inherent green tinge, which is more apparent when viewing the edge of the glass, or in stacks of glass panels. This is due to the iron content in the silicate (sand). Extra Clear low iron glasses contain approximately one quarter of the iron content of standard clear float glass, providing an extra clear glass that is crystal clear in appearance.
