Product Description
Weave hot dipped galvanized iron wire mesh 2x1x1m gabion stone basket is made of twisted hexagonal woven mesh. The metal wire used to make gabion baskets is made of soft tensile heavy galvanized steel, and PVC coating can also be used for additional corrosion protection when the application requires. The double twisting of the woven wire mesh provides structural integrity, strength and continuity by increasing the non-loosening effect of preventing any accidental damage from spreading. Fastening wires are used to assemble and interconnect empty units and to close and fix stone filling units. Once assembled, the basket will be filled with stones at the scene.

Style 1: Gabion Basket
A double-twisted wire mesh container of variable sizes, uniformly partitioned into internal cells,interconnected with other similar units, and filled wih stone at the project size to form flexible ,permeable, monolithic structures such as retaining walls, sea wall,channel linings,revetments,and weirs for erosion control projects.
Style 2: Gabion Mattress
A double-twisted wire mesh container uniformly partitioned into internal cells with relatively small height in relation to other dimensions,having smaller mesh openings than the mesh used for gabions;
gabion mattresses are generally used for riverbank protection and channel linings.

Installation Process
1. Ends,diaphragms,front and back panels are placed upright on the bottom section of wire mesh
2. Secure panels by screwing sprial binders through the mesh openings in adjacent panels
3. Stiffeners shall be placed across the corners, at 300mm from the corner. Providing a diagonal bracing,and crimped
4. Box gabion filled with graded stone by hand or with a shovel.
5. After filling,close the lid and secure with sprial binders at the diaphragms,ends,front and back.
6. When stacking tiers of the weled gabion,the lid of the lower tier may serve as base of the upper tier.Secure with sprial binders and add pre-formed stiffeners to exterior cells before filling with graded stones.
