Stone Filled Gabion Product Description

Stone Filled Gabion is a woven gabion basket made of galvanized, twisted, hexagonal woven wire mesh. Baskets constructed from individual units are assembled, bundled together, and then filled with stones to form an integral structure. Gabion and gabion mattresses are used for retaining walls, sound barriers, canal lining, slope stability, dams and weirs. They are particularly effective in restoring the environment and promoting vegetation growth.

• Multifunction: gabion wall retaining wall cages can be stacked according to your requirements to create retaining walls with vertical, inclined or stepped facades. Meanwhile, woven gabion baskets can be installed in combination with various plants to enhance strength and a more pleasant appearance.
• Long life: all our gabion retaining wall cages are heavily galvanized, and zinc-aluminum alloy is plated with optional polyvinyl chloride coating to resist corrosion and maximize its service life. Generally, our galfan gabion and PVC gabion can be used for up to 12 years according to different exposure conditions.

Installation Process

1. Ends,diaphragms,front and back panels are placed upright on the bottom section of wire mesh

2. Secure panels by screwing sprial binders through the mesh openings in adjacent panels

3. Stiffeners shall be placed across the corners, at 300mm from the corner. Providing a diagonal bracing,and crimped

4. Box gabion filled with graded stone by hand or with a shovel.

5. After filling,close the lid and secure with sprial binders at the diaphragms,ends,front and back.

6. When stacking tiers of the weled gabion,the lid of the lower tier may serve as base of the upper tier.Secure with sprial binders and add pre-formed stiffeners to exterior cells before filling with graded stones.
