CO2 laser is a kind of gas laser, and its wavelength is 9.3~10.6μ m, which belongs to the mid-infrared band. CO2 laser is the most powerful laser at present because of its high power and high electro-optical conversion efficiency. Carbon dioxide laser uses CO2 gas as working substance, and CO2 and other auxiliary gases are charged into the discharge tube. When the voltage is increased on the electrode, glow discharge is generated in the discharge tube, which can make the gas molecules release laser.
