The Minimally Invasive Therapy PLDD Laser For Back Pain And Herniated Disc
PLDD Lasers
PLDD is a minimally invasive procedure for certain cases of pinched nerves. PLDD is done by injecting a needle that is directed at the protruding bone pad, then through a fiber optic cable a laser will be flowed (1200 Joules). The heat generated by the laser will shrink the bone cushion so that the protrusion can return to its normal shape and be free from pinching.
This technique is carried out guided by the latest C-arm technology which is known to be safe with a high level of accuracy.
Advantages of PLDD lasers
The PLDD laser simply requires a much faster recovery period than open surgery. And for patients who prioritize aesthetics, they are also very appropriate candidates for this laser, because the scar is also minimal and only requires a small incision of about 7 mm.
The PLDD procedure is very simple because it does not require anesthesia (only local anesthesia), does not need fasting, and patients can go home or have one day care after only 1-2 hours of observation.
