The solid wall bowl separator is often used in processes that require liquid/liquid or liquid/solids separation when the solids content in the feed is no more than about 1% by volume.

Because of the simplicity of the design, very high g force can be obtained and this separator is thus very efficient in the recovery of fine particles

Work principle of the separator

The Emulsion to be separated (after pre heating) enters the discs in the drum through the feed pipe and rotates at a high speed. The powerful centrifugal force generated by the rotation makes the light and heavy phases quickly separate between the discs. The substances with small specific gravity move towards the center along the disc cone and are discharged at a certain pressure through the downward centripetal pump (light phase centripetal pump); Substances with a higher specific gravity move outward along the conical surface of the disc and are thrown towards the inner wall of the drum. They are discharged from the centrifuge through an upward centrifugal pump (heavy phase centrifugal pump). The separation effect of the centrifuge can be adjusted by adjusting the light phase outlet pressure regulating valve to achieve the best separation effect. The entire process is completed in a closed state
