Antiviral mechanism of silver:
Silver is a typical metal material, It has a large specific surface area and the particle
size is very small. The percentage of surface atoms increased make amount of surface
atoms increased, there are no adjacent atoms around to lead many unsaturated

1. Silver has mechanical adsorption and fixation of the virus. The surface of the
metal ultramicro particles is covered by a layer of polymer which is 5 to 10
meters thick. It can immobilize a large number of proteins and enzymes,
especially polysaccharides. Many polysaccharides may block the adsorption of
viruses to host cells, showing strong antiviral activity. Meanwhile, due to the
colloidal stability and strong adsorption of metal particles, the virus lost its
survival conditions and died.
2. Silver prevents the virus from entering the host cell, and inhibits its binding to the
cell receptor, and thus prevents the virus from infecting the host cell. Some small
metal molecules can bind to the conserved spatial structure of the surface
protein of the virus to inhibit the interaction between the virus and the receptor.
It can prevent the virus from entering the cell and directly inactivate the virus,
which may be similar to killing bacteria. For example, the silver particle combines
with -- SH of the surface protein of the virion to form -- SAg complex, which
inactivates the enzyme protein, interferes with the entry of the virus into the cell
or kills the virus, leading to the inactivation of the virus.
3. Silver can bind to viral nucleic acid, so that the structure of viral DNA or RNA
changes, affecting DNA or RNA replication, so that the virus is inactive.
4. The Ag released by the silver is directly destructive to the virus, but antiviral
