Purpose of EV charger
Fuses for applications in Electric Vehicles (EV) or Hybrid EV are relatively new in the industry and they could be regarded as a crossover product between low voltage fuse and automotive fuse.Available for 1000V DC vehicle systems including fuse ratings up to 800 A, Dissmann EV fuses provide high performing DC protection of drive, auxiliary and battery systems. The fuses are also available as custom solutions for higher voltage and current ratings.
Structure of EV charger fuse
The fuse tubes of electric vehicles are made of high temperature resistant ceramic materials, which have high fire resistance and solid hardness.
The melt is sealed in a smelting tube so that 99.99% of the pure silver becomes a variable cross section melt. The smelting pipe is filled with chemically treated high purity quartz sand and specially treated chemical materials for arc to extinguish agglomeration.

HF4: 2 fuse links per plastic box.
Each long box is packed with 1 plastic box, a total of 2 fuse links, the size of the long box is 156mm long x 120mm wide x 54mm high.
Each large box contains 20 long strip boxes, a total of 40 fuse links, the size of the large box is 342mm long x 258mm wide x 285mm high.
Installation conditions
Normal working conditions
a) The fuse is installed separately in natural air without ventilation. Except for the connecting wires, there are no other heat-generating parts or heat-dissipating parts within 1m.
b) The fuse connection terminal should ensure stable and reliable electrical contact. The contact resistance should not significantly affect the operation of the fuse.
c) The fuse can be installed vertically, horizontally or obliquely. If you rely on spring pressure to ensure the electrical connection of the fuse, you should choose a suitable location during installation to avoid the adverse effects of gravity and vibration on the electrical connection.
