Hastelloy C-276 is a nickel chromium molybdenum alloy containing tungsten, with extremely low silicon carbon content, and is considered a corrosion-resistant alloy. Mainly resistant to wet chlorine, various oxidizing chlorides, chloride salt solutions, sulfuric acid and oxidizing salts, all have good corrosion resistance in low and medium temperature hydrochloric acid. Therefore, in the past thirty years, it has been widely applied in harsh corrosive environments, such as chemical, petrochemical, flue gas desulfurization, pulp and paper industries, and other industrial fields.
C276 alloy is suitable for various chemical process industries containing oxidizing and reducing media. The higher content of molybdenum and chromium makes the alloy resistant to chloride ion erosion, and the tungsten element further improves its corrosion resistance. C276 is one of the few materials that can withstand corrosion from damp chlorine gas, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide solutions. This alloy has significant corrosion resistance to high concentrations of chloride solutions, such as iron chloride and copper chloride.

Some typical applications are:
