Hastelloy B-2 wire is a high-performance nickel-molybdenum alloy wire with excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature stability. It is widely used in harsh environments such as chemical, energy and marine. Its main components include nickel (Ni) balance, molybdenum (Mo) 26.0%-30.0%, iron (Fe) 1.6%-2.0%, chromium (Cr) 0.4%-0.7%, carbon (C) ≤0.01%, etc. This alloy performs well in reducing acids (such as hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid) and chloride environments, and has good resistance to stress corrosion cracking.
The physical properties of Hastelloy B-2 wire include a density of 9.24 g/cm³, a melting point range of 1330-1380℃, a thermal conductivity of 10.8 W/(m·K), and a linear expansion coefficient of 13.6×10⁻⁶/℃. Its mechanical properties are excellent, with a tensile strength of 760 MPa, a yield strength of 345 MPa, and an elongation of 40% at room temperature.
The alloy wire is suitable for a variety of processing methods, including cold working and welding, and no complicated post-processing is required after welding. Its application areas include chemical reactors, distillation towers, storage tanks, heat exchangers, pharmaceutical equipment, marine engineering, and nuclear power equipment. Hastelloy B-2 wire is particularly suitable for use in highly corrosive media such as concentrated sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and phosphoric acid.

Hastelloy B-3 is mainly composed of nickel, molybdenum, chromium, iron and other elements, with nickel content as the matrix, molybdenum content of 27.0% - 32.0%, chromium content of 1.0% - 3.0%, and iron content of 1.0% - 3.0%.
The alloy performs well in reducing acid environments, has excellent corrosion resistance to non-oxidizing acids such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, and phosphoric acid, and has strong resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking (SCC).
Hastelloy B-3 wire has a melting point range of 1357°C - 1413°C and a density of 9.22 g/cm³, and can maintain stable mechanical properties in high temperature environments.
Its tensile strength can reach 1600 - 2000 MPa, yield strength is 232 - 290 MPa, and elongation is 40%, showing good strength and toughness.
