Description
For bunkering operations between two vessels, floating fenders such as Pneumatic fenders or foam elastomer fenders are typically used.
These Pneumatic fenders are extensively used for ship-to-ship transfers at mid seas, double banking operations, and as vessel-to-berth at dock/jetties. The unique property of a Pneumatic fender is its low reaction force at low deflection. This property of Pneumatic fenders makes them the most suitable fender for liquid cargo vessels and defense vessels with sensitive equipment.
They support berthing at angles up to 15 degrees for advanced vessel types such as ULCC, FLNG, FSRU, FSU, FSO, FPSO, LNG and bulk carriers. Fast and easy to deploy, Pneumatic Fenders ensure large clearance maintained between the hulls and jetty. Risks of damage during mooring is minimized, protecting both people and vessel. Due to the hollow construction, these fenders are lighter and easier to handle than solid rubber models.
