DST Tools CHAMP Packer For Oil & Gas Well High Pressure Testing

The High Pressure CHAMP Packer is improved from RTTS Packer which is a full opening packer packer designed with concentric bypass and used in oil well or gas well testing and tubing conveyed perforating operation. The CHAMP packer can be up to 15000 psi working pressure. The CHAMP IV Packer has the capability of circulating below the packer and other parts have the same function as RTTS Packer.

Each CHAMP Packer is assembled with parts including J-slot mechanism, mechanical slips, packer elements, hydraulic slips and bypass

Function of CHAMP packer

The CHAMP Packer is run slightly below the necessary setting position. If the packer is to be set, it must be picked up, and right-hand rotation must be applied so that a quarter-turn can be obtained at the tool. In deep or deviated holes, several turns with the rotary may be necessary. For the position to be maintained, the right-hand torque must be held until the mechanical slips on the tool are set and can begin taking weight.
