Introduction of Coiled tubing Swivel Joint

The coiled tubing swivel joint is a standard component of the CT tool string. The swivel joint allows 360^o rotation of the bottomhole assembly which is (BHA) made up below the swivel joint. The swivel joint is designed with inner integral sealed bearings, which ensure full integrity of flow through the joint, and the swivel joint reduces the torque in the BHA during running in the well.

Application of the swivel joint

The swivel joints is applied for where toolstring orientation is required, and used to coiled tubing applications such as cleanouts, circulation, hydraulic fracturing, acid stimulation, cementing, and drilling.
