A DIMPLE / GRUB SCREW CONNECTOR is a coiled tubing connector used with a connector pressing tool. The Grub Screw/Dimple Connector allows the attachment of coiled tubing to the Coiled Tubing Tool or Workstring, via the provision of a threaded connection.The dimple / grub screw connector is attached to the coiled tubing by grub screws that engage in preformed dimples in the tubing wall.

Operation of DIMPLE / GRUB SCREW CONNECTOR

First, use a pressing tool to press the pit on the surface of the coiled tubing, and then install 16 fastening screws in the pit to realize the connection between the joint and the coiled tubing. After pressing the dimple, grind the surface and chamfer on the end of the coiled tubing to smooth the area where the coiled tubing meets the O-ring. Then nest the joint and tighten the screw in place.
