Composite bridge plugs are mainly used in temporary plugging of oil and gas wells and fracturing construction.
Structure Description:
The bridge plugs are mainly composed of quick-drilling material mandrel, rubber barrel, slip, cone, protection bowl, release/start pin, lower joint, etc
Working Principle:
The relative force generated by the setting tool (cable or oil pipe transmission hydraulic pressure) will act on the lower joint, the force will shear the starting pin, and the compression force will be applied to the sealant cylinder through the cone. Within a certain tensile range, the bridge plug slip will break and be embedded on the inner wall of the sleeve, and the rubber cylinder will expand and seal to complete the setting. When the tension continues to rise to a certain value, the shear ring releases the shear force (12~13 tons, which can also be designed according to the construction requirements), and the setting tool is separated from the bridge plug, and this process is completed; After taking out the setting tool, the ball can be thrown for fracturing operation. The composite bridge plug can be drilled quickly in the later stage according to the measures and production needs.
