The torsional vibration of the gear coupling is analyzed and studied. The Fourier series solution method is mainly used to analyze the torsional vibration of the gear coupling connecting shaft with the parameters of clearance, damping and excitation force. A large number of tests are carried out on the axial vibration of the gear coupling connecting shaft, and the main reasons for the axial vibration are qualitatively explained. It is pointed out that the axial vibration is mainly caused by the misalignment and the friction of the tooth surface. Large axial play will occur without an axial restoring force or thrust bearing.
