This drone has the capability to fly either freely or be tethered to a MYUAV tether station.

To use a tethered drone system, follow these general steps:
1. **Preparation:**
- Ensure you have a tethered drone system, which includes the drone, a tether cable, a tether launch and recovery system, and a ground station.
- Charge the drone's batteries and the tether launch and recovery system if necessary.
- Inspect the tether cable for damage and ensure it is within the maximum length specification for your drone.
2. **Setup:**
- Set up the drone in a safe area, away from obstacles and people.
- Position the tether launch and recovery system nearby, ensuring it is on flat ground and that the tether winch is properly secured.
- Attach one end of the tether cable to the drone and the other end to the launch and recovery system.
3. **Battery Check:**
- Check the drone's battery level to ensure it has enough charge for the intended flight.
4. **System Check:**
- Power on the drone and the ground station.
- Perform a systems check to ensure all systems are functioning correctly, including the communication link between the drone and the ground station.
5. **Flight Modes:**
- Depending on your drone's capabilities, select the appropriate flight mode tethered operation. Some drones have a dedicated tethered flight mode.
6. **Takeoff:**
- Initiate the takeoff command from the ground station or through the drone's controller.
- The drone will begin to ascend, pulling the tether cable out of the launch and recovery system.
7. **Flight Operation:**
- Once the drone is airborne, you can operate it using the ground station's controls to navigate and manipulate the camera or other payloads.
- Monitor the drone's status, including battery life, altitude, and any telemetry data provided by the system.
8. **Landing:**
- When it's time to land, instruct the drone to descend using the ground station controls.
- The drone will lower itself back onto the tether and gradually slow down until it is safely on the ground.
9. **Recovery - If the drone is unable to land safely due to a power failure or other issue, the tether will bring it back to the ground relatively gently. - Use the recovery system to secure the tether and retrieve the drone.
10. **Shutdown:** - Power off the drone and the ground station. - Store the drone and tether cable in a safe place when not in use.
