Large Diameter Ductile Iron Pipe Cement Lined Zinc Coating For Water Lines
Cement Lined Ductile Iron Pipe overview:
Ductile cast iron is kind of alloy of iron, carbon and silicon, in which graphite exists in the type of spherical, generally the size of graphite is 6-7 class, and spheriodization grade of the pipe should be controlled 1-3 class(spheroidization rate is not below 80%). Much of the production of ductile iron is in the form of ductile cast iron pipe, used for water and sewer lines, stronger and easier to tap, requires less support and provides greater flow area compared with pipes made from other materials like PVC, concrete, polyethylene or steel. Ductile Iron Pipe is the most widely-used pipeline product in water supply and water drain/sewage projects.
Pipes, fittings and accessories shall be free from defects and surface imperfections which could impair their compliance with the requirements,When necessary, pipes and fittings may be repaired, for example by welding, to remove surface imperfections and localized defects which do not affect the entire wall thickness, provided that the repaired pipes and fittings comply with all the requirements.
Specifications:
1) The standard of pipe: EN545 , EN598,ISO2531.
2) Pipe class: K7/8/9, C40/C30/C25/
3) Pipe joint: push-on joint(Tyton joint), K type joint, self-restrained joint

mechnical behavior:
Ductile cast iron pipe | Common ash cast pipe | Steel pipe
Tensile strength(MPa) | ≥420 | 150--260 | ≥400
Ductility(%) | <1000(mm) | ≥10 | Neglected | ≥18 |
>1000(mm) | ≥7 | Neglected | ≥18
Brinell hardness(HBS) | ≤230 | ≤230 | about 140
After annealing, the microstructure of ductile cast iron pipes is ferrite and a little pearlite, possessing excellent mechanical properties. |
Internal lining:Portland cement or Blast furnace cement mortar
External Coating:Metallic zinc + Bituminous paint
