  • This series of disc type spiral sludge dehydrators are new generation of non-fouling, anti-wear, low energy consumption sludge dehydrating equipment designed by our company based on German technology, considering sludge characteristics in China, which get rid of the technical problems of previous generations of sludge dehydrators such as large area covering, unability to cope with low concentration sludge, difficulty to deal with special sludge like oil sludge and low efficiency.
  • The main body of disc type spiral sludge dehydrator is a solid-liquid separation device composed of mutual swimming stationary ring and moving ring and connected spiral shaft. Solid-liquid separation zone is divided into two parts-concentration section and dehydration section. The sludge is pushed forward by the spiral shaft to be compressed and dehydrated. Water flows out through the gap created by the swimming stationary ring and moving ring. The distinctive part of this machine is the swimming of moving ring towards stationary ring is driven by spiral dedicated driving device, which avoids the friction and attrition of filter body parts and also greatly extends the working life of the machine.

Operating principle

  • Concentration: When spiral pushes the shaft to rotate, the multiple fixing and moving lamination located in the periphery of pushing shaft moves oppositely. Under the effect of gravity, water is filtered out through the gap created from the relative motion of lamination, which fulfills the fast concentration.
  • Dehydration: Concentrated sludge constantly moves forward with the rotation of spiral shaft toward the discharging direction of mud cake. The screw pitch of spiral shaft and gap between rings become smaller and smaller and the volume of spiral cavity continuously contracts. Internal pressure gradually increases under the affection of outlet back linking piece. Water in sludge is squeezed out when the spiral pushes the shaft to rotate continuously. The content of solid in the filter cake becomes higher and higher and finally the continuous sludge dehydration is achieved.
  • Automatic cleaning: The rotation of spiral shaft pushes the swimming ring to turn continuously. What’s more, routine maintenance is simple and it can run unattended for 24 hours.

    The integration of the overall design and compact structure help to save running cost significantly. Firstly, screw squeezes at a low speed, which reduces the power consumption greatly.
