Caustic soda is produced by electrolysis of salt water solution, chlorine is produced at the anode, and hydrogen and caustic soda are produced by reaction at the cathode. The use of RuTi-coated electrodes in the production of chlor-alkali has the advantages of low loss, greatly reduced chlorine evolution potential compared with graphite electrodes, and stable size and shape. Compared with graphite electrodes, in the same electrolysis environment, the product quality is high, the energy consumption is low, and the chlorine purity is high.
