Cyclone Dust Collectors

A cyclone dust collector is a device used to separate smoke particles from gas by generating centrifugal force through rotating airflow. This device boasts a simple structure, small size, affordable price, easy operation, and simple maintenance. It also consumes little power and is suitable for use with high-temperature gases. However, it should be noted that cyclone dust collectors are only effective at collecting dust particles larger than 10μm. For particles smaller than 5μm, the capture efficiency is low, and the dust collection efficiency is usually around 60-90%.

Cyclone Dust Collectors Types

Cyclone dust collectors come in three types: multi-tube cyclone dust collectors, bypass cyclone dust collectors, and diffusion cyclone dust collectors. When the air flow rotates downwards from the top of the dust collector, the pressure at the top decreases. After reaching the top, some of the air flows, known as the upper vortex will carry the dust particles and rotate upward along the outer wall. Once it reaches the top, it will rotate downwards along the discharge pipe and will eventually be discharged. There are two air intake methods for dust collectors: tangential entry (straight tangential entry, volute tangential entry) and axial entry.
