APPLICATION
SETALUX D A 365 BA/X is used in combination with aliphatic poly
isocyanates to formulate air-drying vehicle repair paints. The cured paint
films are hard, tough but flexible, glossy and high-bodied with excellent
weather stability and light-fastness and good resistance to solvents and
petrol.
SOLUBILITY / THINNABILITY
SETALUX D A 365 BA/X can be thinned to a resin content of 30 % using
ketones, esters, esters, toluene, xylene and solvent naphtha 100.
However, the solutions formed must be tested for their storage stability.
Only PU grade solvents should be used (< 0.05 % water). They should
contain no other reactive impurities.
COMPATIBILITY
SETALUX D A 365 BA/X can be mixed with Desmodur1 N 75, N 3390, Z 4470
and L, with SETAL® D RD 181 and with some of the other SETALUX D A
grades. However, the combinations must be tested for their compatibility.
It is also compatible with certain vinyl copolymers and nitrocellulose chips.
