What are stadium lights? Stadium floodlights are high-power, high-output lighting devices that can emit enough light (lumens) to illuminate large areas, such as sports facilities, playgrounds, large parking lots, large buildings, and industrial venues. The most commonly used lighting technologies are light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and metal halides (MH). High stability flip-chip supplier shares with you.
In order to correctly review the advantages of LED stadium floodlights, let us review some definitions:
1. Lumen: Lumen is the international unit of luminous flux, which is equal to the amount of light emitted per second from a candela uniform light source in a solid angle unit.
2. Footcandle (Fc): Footcandle is a non-international unit of illuminance or the illuminance of a Candela light source projected onto a surface one foot away.
3. Lumens and foot candles: Simply put, lumens measure the light emitted by a light source, and foot candles measure the amount of light that reaches an illuminated object (such as the ground, statue, work area, etc.).
4. Efficacy: How effective is your light source; usually measured in lumens/watt (LpW).
5. Working time: The service life of the light source is measured by a certified laboratory and measured in working hours, or how many hours can be illuminated during its service life.
6. Life Maintenance 70 (LM70): Most LED lighting life is measured by the LM70 test, which means that when the specified life is reached, the light will still emit 70% of its initial lumen. For example, if an LED luminaire is rated for 100,000 lumens, LM70 is 80,000 hours and is used for 10 hours per day (3650 hours per year), then in 21.92 years, the light will still emit 70,000 lumens (a 30% reduction).
