Equipment Overview
Samples and Restrictions: Electrical devices, their components and parts, solid insulating substances, and other solid flammable materials.
Application: This device replicates the thermal stress caused by glowing elements or heat sources, such as overload resistance or ignition points, within a brief period. It is suitable for assessing the fire risk of electrical and electronic devices, household appliances, and other materials. Furthermore, it is used in non-flame ignition source fire tests to determine the ignition temperature and combustibility index of related glowing filaments.
Test Principle: The glowing filament, made of the required material and shape (Ni80/Cr20), is heated to the testing temperature range of 550°C to 960°C for 1 minute using a high-current glow wire tester. The test sample is then vertically exposed to a pressure of 0.95N for 30 seconds. By observing whether the test sample or surrounding materials ignite, or the duration of the burn, users can assess the ignition risk of electrical and electronic products. This device is used for ignition tests, ignition temperature (GWIT) tests, flammability tests, and flammability index (GWFI) tests of solid insulating materials and other solid combustible substances.
Structure: The device features advanced PLC control and a 7-inch color touch screen. It is equipped with a solenoid valve to control the burning depth of the test sample and a measuring gauge, ensuring precise and rapid operation. The test sample will automatically detach from the glowing filament once the set time is reached. Using the original imported UK BB K-type thermocouple (1mm), which has a temperature resistance of up to 1100°C (surpassing the 1050°C standard requirement), this device offers highly accurate temperature control.
