EV Charging Gun Connector Withdrawal Force Test Equipment IEC 62196-1
Equipment Overview
The force of inserting the charging gun into the socket: vertically downward the charging gun, place the main weight required by the standard on the charging gun, and then use a 0.8kg weight to fall freely from a height of 5cm to impact the main weight. The charging gun should be inserted into the socket to the position required by the contact.
This withdrawal force test apparatus is required by IEC 62196-1:2022 clause 16.16.
Test principle: The structure of the charging interface should make it easy to insert the charging gun. This equipment is used to check whether the maximum force required to insert the charging gun into the appliance socket is within the range specified by the standard.
