1.Function:
The primary function of a fuel injection pump is to deliver metered fuel to the engine's cylinders at the correct pressure and timing.

2.Types:

3.Components:
Plungers and Barrels: These are responsible for the pressurization of fuel.

4.Operation:
Suction Stroke: The plunger moves back, creating a vacuum that draws fuel into the chamber from the fuel tank.
Compression Stroke: The plunger moves forward, compressing the fuel.
Injection Stroke: The delivery valve opens, allowing the high-pressure fuel to be injected into the combustion chamber.
