About the corozo button, their production does no harm to nature. On the other hand, the material provides boundless opportunities for design work. Under the microscope, their structure looks like wound plant fibres. This explains their exceptional strength and resistance to scratches and damages. Pores take in dyes deeply – up to 3-4 mm – and allow high quality colouring.

Various procedures can be applied for their production. Corozo material can be cut, pressed, laser-etched, flamed, polished, bleached, dyed, etc. This provides for countless variations and customization of the patterns. Actually any effect you may think of is feasible. The holes do not necessarily have to be 2 or 4, and the dimensions are made entirely to your needs.

Due to their structure, specialists say that there are no two fully identical seeds and that each button is unique.

The fibres on the surface remain notable even after treatment or painting and make the product clearly distinguishable and recognizable.

The easy extraction and the abundant harvest make the seeds cheaper than the other natural materials. Yet, the effective corozo buttons are more expensive than the polyester ones and this is absolutely normal – the raw material travels from Ecuador, each seed is processed individually, and the paints used are not at all cheap.
