Invar Fe-Ni36 4J36 Low Expansion Iron Nickel Alloy 1.2 ppm°C Anti Corrosion

4J36 is a special low-expansion iron-nickel alloy with an ultra-low expansion coefficient. Among them, the control of carbon and manganese components is very important. Cold deformation can reduce the coefficient of thermal expansion, and heat treatment in a specific temperature range can stabilize the coefficient of thermal expansion. 4J36 is resistant to corrosion in dry air at room temperature. In other harsh environments, such as humid air, corrosion (rusting) may occur.

4J36 can be welded by all welding processes, including tungsten electrode welding, metal arc welding, plasma welding, argon arc welding, manual arc welding, etc. Pulsed arc welding is recommended as the priority.

4J36 is used in environments requiring extremely low expansion coefficients.

4J36 Typical applications:

● Production, storage and transportation of liquefied gas

● Measurement and control instruments with operating temperature below + 200 ℃, such as temperature adjustment devices

● Helix connector bushing between metal and other materials

● Bimetallic and temperature controlled bimetallic

● membrane frame

● Shadow mask

● Tempering molds for CRP parts in the aviation industry

● Frame of artificial satellite and missile electronic control unit below -200 ℃

● Auxiliary electron tube in electromagnetic lens of laser control device
