Silicon Calcium Description

Calcium Silicon alloy is a composite alloy composed of elements silicon, calcium and iron, and is an ideal composite deoxidizer and desulfurizer. It is widely used in the production of high-quality steel, low-carbon steel, stainless steel and other steel grades and special alloys such as nickel-based alloys and titanium-based alloys; it is also suitable as a warming agent for converter steel refining workshops; it can also be used as an inoculant for cast iron. and additives in the production of ductile iron.

Silicon Calcium Function

1. Since calcium has a strong affinity with oxygen, sulfur, hydrogen, nitrogen and carbon in liquid steel, silicon calcium alloy is mainly used for deoxidization, degassing and fixation of sulfur in steel fluid.

2. It is widely used in high quality steel, low carbon steel, stainless steel production and nickel base alloy, titanium alloy and other special alloy production.

3. In cast iron production,the calcium silicon alloy have inoculation effect.helped to form fine grained or spheroidal graphite; in the grey cast iron Graphite distribution uniformity,reduce chilling tendency,and can increase silicon,desulfurization,improve the quality of cast iron.
