Different compositions: The main components of ASTM B386 TZM alloy are molybdenum (Mo), titanium (Ti) and zirconium (Zr), usually containing 0.50-0.55% titanium, 0.06-0.12% zirconium, and the balance molybdenum and other elements . In comparison, the components of other high-temperature alloys usually include nickel (Ni), chromium (Cr), iron (Fe), and cobalt (Co).
High density: ASTM B386 TZM alloy has a density of approximately 10.2 g/cm³, which is higher than other high-temperature alloys such as nickel-based alloys and cobalt-based alloys.
High melting point: The melting point of ASTM B386 TZM alloy is about 2,470°C, which is higher than that of other high-temperature alloys.
Excellent mechanical properties: ASTM B386 TZM alloy has excellent mechanical properties, including high strength, high hardness, high wear resistance, high tensile strength, high yield strength and good creep resistance.
