TZM (titanium-zirconium-molybdenum) (high-temperature alloy) is a solution-hardened and particle-strengthened molybdenum-based alloy. The formation of a molybdenum-titanium solid solution and the fine dispersion of titanium carbides are responsible for the alloy's excellent strength properties at temperatures up to 1,400°C. The recrystallization temperature of TZM alloys is approximately 250°C higher than that of molybdenum alloys, which results in better weldability.
TZM alloy (titanium-zirconium-molybdenum) is an alloy consisting of 0.50% titanium, 0.08% zirconium, and 0.02% carbon, with a balance of molybdenum.TZM (titanium-zirconium-molybdenum) is fabricated by the P/M or arc casting technique, and is of great utility due to its high strength/high-temperature applications, especially in high-temperature applications above 2,000° F. The alloy is also available in a variety of other alloys such as aluminum, aluminum, and aluminum.
TZM sheet TZM molybdenum (titanium-zirconium-molybdenum) offers higher recrystallization temperatures, higher strength, hardness, and good ductility compared to unalloyed molybdenum at room and elevated temperatures. In addition, TZM alloy (titanium zirconium molybdenum) has good thermal conductivity, low vapor pressure, corrosion resistance and machinability.
