This is followed by either pyrometallurgical or hydrometallurgical smelting to obtain manganese oxide powder, which is then subjected to electrolysis to extract pure metallic manganese.
The selection and pretreatment of raw materials play a crucial role in the production process. Natural manganese ore exists in two primary forms: metallic manganese ore and manganese oxide ore. These ores need to be processed through beneficiation to remove impurities and increase manganese concentration. After beneficiation, the ore undergoes crushing and grinding to achieve the desired particle size for the subsequent smelting process.
