According to the content of carbon element Ferromanganese content can also be divided into low carbon ferromanganese, medium carbon ferromanganese and high carbon ferromanganese.

Ferromanganese produced in China is divided into blast furnace products and electric furnace products according to production methods, including 6 products such as Mn1 and 7 products such as MG1.
