Fiber Optic Cable Fiber
The GYFTY cable structure is made by placing 250μm fiber in a loose tube made of a high modulus material, which is filled with a waterproof compound. The center of the cable core is a glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP). The loose sleeve (and filler rope) is twisted around the central strengthening core to form a compact and circular cable core. The gap in the cable core is filled with water-blocking filler. The cable core is extruded with a layer of polyethylene outer sheath to form the cable.
