PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Optical module also be called optical fiber module, the translation should be transceiver module. The function of the optical module is the photoelectric conversion, and the transmitter converts the electrical signal into the optical signal. After the transmission through the optical fiber, the receiving end converts the optical signal into the electrical signal. SFP28 is a kind of optical module.
The 25Gbps 1310nm Fiber Optic Module is a multi-rate 1310nm transceiver which ensures compliance with 25GBASE-LR specifications. Per the requirements of 25GE, inter-nal clock and data recovery circuits (CDRs) are present on both electrical input and electrical output of this trans-ceiver. These CDRs will lock at 25.78 Gb/s. Digital diagnostic monitoring information (DMI) is present in the 25Gbps 1310nm Fiber Optic Module per the requirements of SFF-8472, providing real time monitoring information of transceiver laser, receiver and environment conditions over a SFF-8431 2-wire serial interface
The SFP28 LR module electrical interface is compliant to SFI electrical specifications. The transmitter input and receiver output impedance is 100 Ohms differential. Data lines are internally AC coupled. The module provides differential termination and reduce differential to common mode conversion for quality signal termination and low EMI. SFI typically operates over 200 mm of improved FR4 material or up to about 150mmof standard FR4 with one connector.
