Main Functions of Clock Module

Clock module can provide SDH equipment with system clock in conformity of ITU-T Rec. G.813 specifications. It can also accept kinds of timing reference sources and provide 3-level clock to external. Thus SDH equipment can accommodate to various kinds of environment and perform networking flexible. Specific functions are as follows:

  • Provide system with stable system clock frame alignment and multiframe alignment pulse;
  • Automatically select and lock appropriate clock reference source;
  • Provide input interfaces of various kinds of clock reference source;
  • Externally, equipment provides 2 048 MHz/HDB3 3-level clock;
  • Multiple kinds of work modes;
  • Perfect S1 byte processing.

Main Functions of Cross-connect Module

  • According to the command of network management system, accomplish distribution and operation of aggregate side and tributary side VC-4 traffic through cross-connect; accomplish 32×32 higher order full cross-connect and 756×756 lower order full cross-connect;
  • Accomplish lower order pointer justification of eight tributaries in drop direction and provide TU12 path protection by eight VC-4s;
  • Accomplish multidirectional APS protocol processing and equipment switching in abnormal condition;
  • Flexible networking in cooperation with system.
