1. Turn on the light source and the test instrument 30 minutes in advance, then connect the two devices with bare fiber, and reset the test instrument to zero.
2. Remove the bare fiber used for reset, turn the knob clockwise to adjust the movable end of the aligner to the farthest
position.
3. Connect the FC head of the tested pigtail to the tester, and clamp the other end with a single-core fixture. Adopt stripping pliers , clean the bare fiber and the standard cutter in turn. After cutting, place it on the fixed end (left end) of the
single-core fiber aligner, and insert the bare fiber accurately into the V groove.
4. Clamp the single fiber of the device under test with a single-core fixture, adopt the stripper, clean the bare fiber and the
standard cutter, after cutting, place it on the movable end (right end) of the single-core fiber aligner, and insert the bare
fiber accurately into the V groove. Drop a little matching liquid in the middle of the V groove, and then close the upper
cover plate. Note: Steps 3) and 4) require to cut the optical fiber into a fixed length, otherwise the test data may be
unstable.
5. Turn the knob counterclockwise, allowing the movable end to move freely to automatically connect the optical fiber in the Vgroove, and then observe the test instrument to inspect each indicator of the tested device.
